Video Content Producer – Entry Level, Remote

Description

We’re looking for a Video Content Producer to join our content team. You’ll help create educational videos about filmmaking, storytelling, and creative production workflows.

Our videos reach a large audience each month and help filmmakers and creative professionals improve their craft. If you enjoy developing video ideas, directing shoots, and creating content that teaches others about production, this role could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

As part of the content team, you’ll help produce educational videos that break down filmmaking techniques, explore storytelling principles, and demonstrate creative workflows. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing video concepts and planning shoots; directing talent and capturing footage; editing videos using industry-standard software; collaborating with writers, editors, and designers to ensure each video is clear and engaging; creating shorter promotional clips and teasers for social media platforms.

A Typical Day

Your day might start by reviewing ideas for upcoming videos and refining a concept you’re developing. You’ll spend time planning the structure of new pieces—identifying examples, techniques, and visuals that illustrate your topic.

Before a shoot, you might write a treatment, plan visuals, or build a shot list. On production days, you could be directing talent, setting up lighting and camera, and capturing footage.

During editing, you’ll assemble cuts, refine pacing, and work with the design team to add visual elements that clarify your ideas. Some days focus on production, others on editing or creative development. The goal is always the same: create thoughtful videos that help others understand creative craft.

Skills/background needed

You should have experience shooting or directing video and experience editing video. Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite is important. Strong storytelling instincts and visual taste are essential. You enjoy explaining creative concepts and techniques, and you’re comfortable collaborating with editors, writers, and designers. You take ownership of your work and care deeply about quality and craft.

Experience creating educational or filmmaking-related content is a plus, but we provide full training and support to help you succeed in this role.
