If you’re passionate about publishing and want to develop skills in managing editorial projects, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring books reach readers in their best form, this role is for you. No prior publishing experience required—full training and mentorship provided.
You’ll work with a supportive team to manage publishing projects from manuscript through to finished product. You’ll coordinate copyediting, proofreading, and quality checks, work with designers and manufacturing partners, and help identify ways to improve our workflows. As you grow in the role, you may support and mentor other team members.
What you’ll do:
Manage editorial production workflows, including coordinating copyediting, proofreading, and quality assurance checks.
Track production schedules and milestones to ensure projects stay on course.
Work with freelance editorial partners and other departments to resolve production challenges.
Perform quality reviews before files move to manufacturing and digital distribution.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Support team members as you develop expertise in the role.
Skills/background needed:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across teams.
Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Eagerness to learn publishing workflows and industry best practices.
A problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
