About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. You’ll research and identify grant opportunities, prepare compelling grant proposals, and help manage the grant application process from start to finish. This is a fully remote, entry-level position with comprehensive training provided.
What You’ll Do
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Research and identify grant opportunities that align with organisational goals• Review and interpret grant guidelines, regulations, and funding opportunity notices• Prepare grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation• Perform research and analysis to generate reports and cost estimates• Develop timelines to ensure timely submission of grant applications• Submit completed proposals to funding agencies• Maintain accurate records in grant tracking systems• Prepare reports, memos, and written correspondence• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective implementation of funded projects• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations• Support grant reporting requirements• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with grant best practices
Skills/Background Needed
We welcome applicants with no prior grant writing experience. Full training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to write clear, well-structured, and persuasive proposals• Excellent editing and proofreading abilities• Strong attention to detail• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively• Ability to listen, gather information, and translate ideas into written proposals• A willingness to learn and grow in the role
