Technical Writer – Equipment Documentation (Entry Level)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Technical Writer to create clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly documentation for technical products and services. You will translate complex technical information into accessible content that helps users understand and maintain equipment safely and effectively. This role offers an opportunity to develop your writing skills while contributing to product clarity and user experience across various platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Create and revise maintenance and instructional documents using technical specifications, diagrams, functional tests, and other reference materials

• Submit requests for illustrations and visual aids to accompany written instructions for technical publications

• Review your own work and peer-review completed documents for accuracy and consistency

• Follow established documentation procedures and suggest improvements where appropriate

• Collaborate with technical teams, engineers, and customer service representatives to validate procedures and ensure documentation accuracy

Skills and Background Needed

• Strong writing skills with attention to detail

• Ability to understand and analyze technical diagrams and specifications

• Experience with technical documentation tools (such as XML authoring software or document design platforms)

• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of how equipment systems work

• No prior professional experience required – full training will be provided
