About the Role:
This is an entry-level position for those looking to start their career in medical writing and scientific communications. You will not need prior industry experience. Instead, through your educational background and research experience, you’ll bring a genuine passion for translating complex scientific information into clear, engaging content.
You will learn from experienced mentors, receive focused training sessions, and gain hands-on experience across multiple therapy areas and project types—including commercial content, medical affairs materials, and publications. This role is ideal if you’re eager to learn, ask questions, and develop your expertise in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:
Technical Writing:
Working closely with senior team members, you’ll develop content and drafts for a variety of materials, including:
- Presentation slides and digital materials
- Scientific manuscripts and publications
- Meeting materials and reports
You’ll ensure all written materials are well-researched, technically accurate, professionally written, and meet project requirements. You’ll also adapt your writing style for different audiences, incorporate feedback, and develop visual presentations. Data checking and quality assurance will be part of your responsibilities.
Scientific Knowledge Development:
You’ll build your scientific expertise through proactive research, reading industry materials, and learning about the healthcare landscape. You’ll ask questions, understand quality control processes, and develop the knowledge needed to produce high-quality scientific content.
Project Management:
You’ll organize your workload across multiple projects, meet deadlines, communicate progress to your team, and collaborate with colleagues. You’ll take initiative to solve problems and aren’t afraid to ask for senior support when needed.
Skills/background needed: Higher degree in a relevant scientific subject (such as a PhD, MD, or equivalent); writing experience from your degree or other activities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail; a proactive, curious mindset; and enthusiasm for learning new skills and developing expertise across different scientific areas.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent
