This is a full-time, on-site role in a prepared foods department. You’ll work with a team dedicated to providing quality products and excellent customer service. No prior experience is required—we provide full training on all procedures, systems, and product knowledge.
Roles: You will order, replenish, and merchandise prepared foods products while monitoring inventory levels. You’ll assist with organizing promotional displays, help with counter service and food preparation as needed, and work closely with team leaders and kitchen staff. You’ll also handle customer special orders and support inventory counts when required.
What You’ll Do:
• Process food orders through established buying procedures and track purchase orders accurately
• Monitor inventory, control waste and shrinkage, and ensure products are rotated and stored properly
• Complete required documentation including temperature checks and inventory worksheets
• Assist with food preparation and counter service as assigned
• Communicate with kitchen staff and team leaders about ordering needs
• Organize and set up promotional displays
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service and answer phones promptly
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned
• Report any safety hazards immediately
Skills/background needed: Basic math skills and comfort using Microsoft Word and Excel are helpful. You should be able to communicate clearly with team members, customers, and vendors. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are important. Willingness to learn about products, nutrition, and food trends is essential. You must be able to follow directions, manage your time effectively, and work as part of a team. Previous buying or merchandising experience is a plus but not required.
Physical requirements: You’ll need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. During an 8-hour shift, you’ll spend 6-8 hours standing or walking. Work includes bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. You may use equipment including knives, box cutters, and heavy machinery. You’ll be exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and warm temperatures. You must be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
