About the Role
As a part-time Content Creator, you will capture, curate, and share stories across digital platforms. Your mission is to connect communities and showcase authentic, engaging narratives through visual content. This is a flexible, contractor position that averages 5 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
Content Capture: Capture high-quality photos and videos of real people and moments in action at community events, activities, and gatherings.
Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives, captions, and posts that tell authentic, engaging stories.
Social Media Management: Post content regularly and consistently across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Monitor engagement and stay aware of current trends to maximize reach.
Event Coverage: Attend and document community events and activities. You’ll need reliable daytime availability at least one day per week.
Editing and Production: Edit photos and videos into engaging, polished content ready for social media distribution.
Community Spotlights: Help create and share feature stories that celebrate and inspire community members.
Skills and Background Needed
No prior professional experience required—we welcome passionate storytellers at any level. You should have:
• A creative eye and passion for visual storytelling (a portfolio of your work is helpful but not essential)
• Familiarity with social media platforms and current content trends
• Ability to work independently and identify content opportunities
• Strong interpersonal skills—you’re approachable, energetic, and comfortable building rapport with people quickly
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent, quality work
• Access to your own camera or high-quality mobile device for photo and video capture
• Reliable daytime availability for at least one day per week to attend events
