You’ll be responsible for ordering, replenishing, and merchandising prepared foods products while supporting a team dedicated to providing quality products and excellent service.
Roles: Your day-to-day will include purchasing and replenishing food inventory through proper buying procedures, monitoring inventory levels and managing product rotation, completing required worksheets and documentation, assisting with counter service as needed, communicating with kitchen and team leadership about ordering needs, overseeing special customer orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You’ll also help conduct inventory checks and support the team in meeting sales and profitability targets.
Skills/background needed: You should have basic math skills and the ability to use computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ordering systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. We’re looking for someone with a good work ethic who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, follow procedures carefully, and manage time effectively. Experience in buying or merchandising is a plus, but not required—we provide full training. A passion for natural and healthy foods is a great fit for this role.
Physical requirements: You’ll need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Most of your 8-hour workday will be spent standing or walking. The role involves hand use for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. You may need to bend, twist, squat, and reach frequently. You’ll work in both wet and dry conditions and may be exposed to food-safe cleaning chemicals and warm temperatures. You may use tools like knives, box cutters, and equipment like electric pallet jacks. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
