We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for equipment operators and maintenance technicians. This is a full-time, in-person role based at our training facility.
About the Role:
You will design, organize, and conduct training and educational programs for technical staff, blending classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory training. Your responsibilities will include:
• Deliver dynamic, engaging training sessions with advanced technical knowledge
• Review and analyze technical documentation and apply knowledge in real-world training scenarios
• Observe and assess participants during practice and certification activities
• Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides
• Establish course content, learning objectives, and evaluation criteria
• Conduct training sessions and evaluate their effectiveness
• Maintain detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes
• Update course documentation regularly to ensure relevance and accuracy
• May mentor and evaluate lower-level training staff
• Research and stay current with new training technologies and methodologies
• Support special projects as needed
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent combination of technical certifications, specialized training, or relevant work experience.
Skills/Background Needed:
• Seven (7) years of technical experience in equipment systems, with demonstrated ability to teach and mentor others at a journeyman level
• One (1) year of formal experience as an instructor in a structured training environment, including curriculum development, learning objective writing, test preparation, and student assessment
• Ability to stand for extended periods while delivering instruction
• Current or ability to obtain security clearance
Location:
On-site position. Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
