About This Role
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our Energy Operations team. You’ll manage documentation for commercial and charging products, creating clear process and software guides for internal teams. This is a great opportunity to develop strong technical writing skills while supporting business operations across multiple products and systems.
You’ll work collaboratively with subject matter experts, project managers, technicians, and product teams to understand complex systems and translate them into clear, accessible documentation. Full training will be provided—no prior experience with our specific tools or industry required.
What You’ll Do
• Communicate and collaborate with subject matter experts (project managers, technicians, and product managers) to build working relationships and gather information
• Understand business processes and systems and explain them clearly to non-technical audiences
• Review information for accuracy and follow document approval processes
• Edit content according to style guidelines and maintain organizational standards
• Organize and structure content for clarity, add helpful metadata, and keep information current
• Migrate content to new documentation systems and templates as needed
• Manage multiple documentation projects using team collaboration tools, prioritizing work and following processes
Skills/Background Needed
• Background in English, writing, communications, or related field (degree or equivalent experience)
• Interest in technical writing with experience working alongside technical experts, or a similar role focused on product documentation
• Comfort with AI tools and genuine curiosity about how they can improve documentation and processes
• Flexible mindset—you’re comfortable with frequent changes and shifting priorities
• Basic familiarity with markup languages, document management systems, or HTML is helpful but not required
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and follow established processes
• Experience creating or editing visual content (screenshots, diagrams, photos with annotations) is a bonus
