Content Writer – Inventory & Product Management, Full Time

About the role

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a full-time position focused on product ordering, inventory management, and merchandise coordination. This role involves working with ordering systems, tracking stock levels, and ensuring products are properly displayed and available for customers. You’ll be part of a supportive team environment where you’ll receive comprehensive training and have the opportunity to develop valuable retail and administrative skills.

What you’ll do

• Complete full training on our ordering and inventory procedures
• Order and replenish products using established purchasing procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate back stock
• Track purchase orders and process credits accurately and on time
• Manage spoilage and shrinkage through careful monitoring and record-keeping
• Complete inventory worksheets and cycle counting as required
• Ensure orders are accurate and timely to maintain healthy inventory
• Handle customer special orders following established procedures
• Analyze and control product transfers and waste
• Support the team during inventory counts and audits
• Maintain financial targets by meeting purchasing and sales goals
• Arrive on time, properly dressed, and ready to work all scheduled shifts
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and answer phones promptly
• Prep, store, rotate, and stock products following proper procedures
• Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned
• Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately
• Support other team members as needed

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of grocery and food products
• Familiarity with product merchandising and display standards
• Strong basic math skills
• Comfort using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email
• Ability to use ordering systems (full training provided)
• Clear communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow directions, manage time effectively, and stay organized
• Friendly, professional manner with customers and team members
• Strong work ethic and ability to work at a steady pace in a busy environment
• At least 12 months of retail experience preferred but not required—we provide full training

Physical requirements

This is an on-site, in-person role. You’ll need to be able to:
• Stand and walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour work day
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Grip, grasp, and manipulate items with your hands
• Push and pull items and equipment
• Bend, twist, squat, and reach as needed
• Work in varying temperatures, including cold and warm environments
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Use tools and equipment such as box cutters and pallet jacks with proper training

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
