Summary:
Research funding opportunities and prepare grant proposals to secure financial support for organisational programmes and projects. Provide grant writing support services to team members across departments. This is a fully remote role ideal for entry-level writers with strong research and communication skills.
What You’ll Do:
• Research, identify and respond to public and private grant funding opportunities
• Prepare and submit grant proposals and budgets within funder guidelines
• Develop and maintain lists of potential funding resources and grant cycles
• Work with team leaders to understand goals, identify needs and assess funding requirements
• Use research tools to identify funding and programme opportunities aligned with organisational priorities
• Meet with stakeholders to ensure all affected departments are informed of grant responsibilities
• Provide grant-related support to departmental and finance staff
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned
Skills/Background Needed:
• Strong research and writing ability, with capacity to produce clear, concise proposals
• Proficiency reading, crafting and implementing detailed written documents
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members across different departments
• Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Flexibility with scheduling when needed
• Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for remote work
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in a field with strong writing and research focus is required. Prior grant writing experience is preferred but not essential—full training will be provided to the right candidate. Background in grant research, proposal writing or work in health, education or social services is a plus.
