Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week
Location: Fully remote – work from home
What you’ll be doing:
As a Part-Time Grants Writer, you’ll research, develop, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and corporate sources. You’ll maintain a well-organized grant pipeline, ensure all submissions and reports are completed accurately and on time, and play a key role in securing reliable funding for our programs.
Your core responsibilities:
Grant Writing & Submission
Research and identify new grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources that align with organizational priorities. Write clear, compelling, and competitive grant proposals. Prepare and submit all required application materials in advance of deadlines.
Grant Pipeline Management
Maintain and manage a comprehensive grant calendar, including deadlines, renewals, and reporting requirements. Track all submissions, outcomes, and funding decisions. Ensure no deadlines are missed.
Collaboration & Content Development
Work with program staff to identify funding opportunities that match program needs. Gather data, outcomes, budgets, and narratives for proposals. Translate program impact into strong, fundable proposals. Coordinate with leadership to ensure alignment with funding strategy.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and submit grant reports in accordance with funder requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of all grant-related activities. Ensure compliance with all funding guidelines and expectations.
Skills/background needed:
2–4 years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit setting. Demonstrated success in securing grant funding. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work independently and maintain accountability in a part-time structure. Experience collaborating with program staff to gather content and data. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with nonprofit funding environments. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
