Role: Junior Technical Writer – Quality Assurance

About the role:
We’re looking for a Junior Technical Writer to support our quality assurance and operations teams. You’ll work from home investigating process issues and customer complaints, documenting your findings, and helping develop solutions to prevent future problems. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain real experience in technical documentation, root cause analysis, and quality management—with full training provided and support from your team throughout.
You’ll work independently on investigations from start to finish, gathering information from internal and external sources, analyzing data, and writing clear reports for senior management. Your documentation will directly support compliance and help keep processes running smoothly.
What you’ll do:
• Investigate process deviations and customer complaints with thoroughness and attention to detail
• Gather and analyze information from multiple sources to assess the impact of issues
• Use structured tools and methodical approaches to determine root causes
• Prepare clear, well-organized written reports and documentation
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
• Develop and advise on corrective and preventative actions
• Monitor trends in investigations and maintain accurate records
• Work with procedure-driven guidelines and ensure compliance with policies
• Support team members and area supervisors by providing technical assistance on complex problems
• Meet deadlines and track timelines for investigations
Skills/background needed:
• A degree in a science field (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related discipline), or equivalent work experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Good critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze information logically
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks from start to completion
• Reliable, professional, and able to follow procedures consistently
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
