We’re looking for an Entry Level Multimedia Journalist who can identify compelling story ideas, shoot and edit video news packages, and present them in an engaging way. You’ll be motivated, passionate about storytelling, and ready to deliver content live across multiple platforms. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll grow your skills while contributing to real news coverage that matters to your community.
Responsibilities
Gather information for stories and live reports for newscasts (including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)
Cover breaking news, weather, and sports stories
Produce high-quality video packages for broadcast and digital platforms
Collaborate with team members on packages, special reports, and documentaries
Develop sources, create story ideas, and produce content across on-air, online, and all digital platforms
Shoot live shots and live interviews while tracking developing news stories
Skills/background needed
Experience or schooling in television news reporting, photography, and video editing (or a strong willingness to learn)
Strong creative writing and editing skills
Ability to communicate with authenticity and connect with audiences
Samples of your reporting, photography, or video work (or portfolio demonstrating your interest in journalism)
Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to handle the pressures of live broadcast production
