About the role
We’re looking for a Proposal Writer to join our Development team in a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and from our office. You’ll be part of a supportive team working on mission-driven fundraising to build long-term donor relationships and partnerships.
This is a full-time position offering comprehensive training and a welcoming environment for entry-level writers eager to develop their skills in nonprofit fundraising communications.
What you’ll do
Your day-to-day will include:
• Write clear, compelling grant proposals, reports, and stewardship materials for foundation and individual donors
• Research and synthesize complex information into persuasive donor communications
• Develop knowledge of organizational programmes and initiatives in assigned areas
• Meet writing deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fact-check and edit materials produced by other team members
• Support donor relationships through substantive updates and stewardship communications
• Identify and research new potential funders
• Work collaboratively across teams on special projects as needed
Skills/background needed

• Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to adapt your writing for different audiences
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
• Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment
• Collaborative approach to teamwork
• Familiarity with fundraising databases is a plus, but not required
• Experience working at complex organizations is valuable but not essential
