You’ll work closely with researchers, biostatisticians, and administrative staff to lead grant writing initiatives, shepherd projects from conception through publication, and prepare high-quality written materials for research programs. What you’ll do:
• Lead grant writing efforts: write, edit, and proofread grant proposals, scientific manuscripts, clinical study protocols, and other research documents for faculty, fellows, and students• Identify funding opportunities, develop proposals, manage deliverables, and support publications and presentations• Support project design and operations management, overseeing research portfolios and cross-functional collaboration• Contribute to strategic planning and infrastructure development for research programs• Mentor junior staff and support program operations, performance tracking, and goal execution• Develop and manage community-engaged research initiatives, including stakeholder partnerships and pilot funding programmes• Build in-depth knowledge of research goals, health equity frameworks, and social determinant approaches through continuous learning
Skills/background needed:
• PhD in biomedical sciences, public health, or a related field; OR a Master’s degree with at least three years of scientific writing experience in a healthcare, research, or academic environment• Experience with federal and foundation grant submission processes• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Meticulous attention to detail• Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team• Experience or keen interest in learning about clinical research, health equity, regulatory reporting, and research administration• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting
