We’re launching a new wellness brand and are looking for a creative freelancer to build its social media presence from the ground up. This is an opportunity to shape the brand’s voice and visual identity during its earliest, most exciting stage—working directly with founders who are deeply passionate about their mission.
If you’re someone who genuinely loves the wellness space, understands what makes content engaging on social platforms, and can turn raw ideas into polished, scroll-stopping posts, this role is for you. You’ll work independently, take creative briefs, and deliver finished content that’s ready to go live.
The Role
As a Social Media Content Creator, you’ll be the creative force behind all visual content for this brand. Working from briefs provided by the team, you’ll bring the brand’s visual identity to life through short-form video editing and graphic design, managing the full journey from concept to live posting across all platforms.
What You’ll Do
Video Editing: Transform raw footage into clean, well-paced short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Graphic Design: Build polished carousel posts and static graphics in Canva or similar design tools, following the established brand guidelines.
Story Curation: Assemble Instagram Stories weekly using founder clips, interactive stickers, polls, and graphics.
Platform Scheduling & Posting: Stage, review, and schedule all approved posts, Reels, Stories, and carousels across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, ensuring everything goes live exactly as planned.
Content Organization: Help establish and maintain a cloud storage system and asset library for raw footage and final content, keeping everything organized and accessible.
Team Communication: Work seamlessly with the founder and team through team chat apps and other collaboration tools.
What You’ll Deliver Each Month
Approximately 16–20 short-form video edits (3–4 per week) and 4–8 designed carousel posts (1–2 per week) for Instagram, with cross-posting to TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
3–5 Instagram Stories sets per week (12–20 sets per month).
Scheduling and live posting across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn approximately 5 days per week.
Monthly performance data to identify top-performing content.
Who You Are
You’re skilled in video editing software and have a strong eye for pacing, text placement, audio levels, and visual rhythm.
You have an elevated design aesthetic with strong instincts for layout, typography, color, and clean composition—suited to a premium wellness brand.
You’re genuinely passionate about social media. You actively use Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, and you stay naturally aware of what’s trending and engaging across platforms because you love following creators and brands.
You’re a reliable, independent worker who can take a brief, deliver quality work on deadline, and manage your own timeline without constant oversight.
You’re resourceful and comfortable working with a brand that’s still building its content library—you’ll help create the archive as you go, not just edit from an existing one.
You’re comfortable with design and workflow tools like Canva, Google Drive, Notion, project management apps, and content scheduling platforms.
Bonus: You’re comfortable being on camera or shooting simple footage yourself (product shots, lifestyle clips, behind-the-scenes content), though this is not required.
