Thank you for your interest in this position. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sportsbook Ticket Writer.
About the Role:
You will report on timed workout data for racehorses, ensuring complete accuracy in all documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
Recording horse names with correct spelling
Recording trainer names
Recording workout distances
Recording official workout times
Recording track surface conditions
Maintaining punctual attendance
Working required overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned
Skills/background needed:
You must be at least 21 years of age and able to read, write legibly, and communicate clearly in English. While prior experience in racing or data entry is valuable, full training will be provided. You should be comfortable working at a fast pace in busy, noisy environments and be able to stand for extended periods. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is essential. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are important for success in this role. You must be able to respond quickly to visual and oral cues and meet professional appearance standards.
Physical Requirements:
You will be required to stand and walk for the majority of your shift. You must be able to reach with your hands and arms, talk and hear clearly, and have good close vision and color vision. You may need to lift and move items up to 25 pounds and be able to bend, twist, stoop, and balance as needed. You may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and second-hand tobacco smoke.
Contract length: Seasonal, Full Time
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
