We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team. This is an entry-level role offering full training and support as you develop your skills in technical documentation.
About the Role:
You’ll write and edit technical documentation including proposals, process guides, user manuals, procedures, and related materials. You’ll work with subject matter experts to research and understand technical concepts, review content with team members, and help coordinate the production and distribution of documents. You’ll support project teams by documenting technical work clearly and accurately.
What You’ll Do:
• Communicate with team members and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and subject matter
• Create technical documentation based on established templates and standards
• Interview team members and review technical materials to understand products and processes
• Select and incorporate diagrams, charts, drawings, and other visuals into documents
• Organize research and write clear, concise documentation following style and format guidelines
• Edit and standardize documentation prepared by yourself and others
• Maintain organized files and records of all documents and revisions
• Ensure end users can easily access and use final documents
• Manage project directories and folder structures for easy navigation
• Review published materials and suggest improvements
Skills/Background Needed:
• Associate’s Degree in any discipline, OR relevant technical training
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in technical writing or editing
• Strong written communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established standards
• Comfort learning new tools and technologies
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• No prior experience with security clearances required – we’ll guide you through the process
